ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMEBERS:

Any eligible Veteran who served at least 90 days of active duty and was honorably discharged.
Veterans residing in Vermont have first priority. Spouses of eligible Veterans, widows/widowers of eligible Veterans and Gold Star Parents are also eligible.

Application Process

The application process is completed through the Home’s Admissions Coordinator in conjunction with the Director of Nursing Services. Application includes information regarding military service, personal history, financial status and medical history. If the Veteran has been recently hospitalized, copies of current medical status should accompany the application.

Structure & Governing board

The Vermont Veterans’ Home is governed by a 21-member Board of Trustees as appointed by the Governor. Day-to-day management of the Home is vested in the Commandant who is selected by the Board of Trustees and approved by the Governor.

Skilled care, domiciliary care, wound care, sub-acute rehabilitation, palliative care, hospice, respite, and long-term care.
