ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMEBERS:

Any veteran who has served in the Armed Forces of the United States during armed conflict who was discharged under honorable conditions and is a resident of the State of Ohio one year and who because of age, injury or disability, is unable to provide support for himself and his family is eligible for admission.

Application Process

The application, physician’s statement and discharge documents must be mailed to the Home. A pre-admission interview team may meet with the applicant to determine eligibility and placement. An application form is available by contacting any Ohio county veteran service office. Additional admission and contact information is available by going to our website at www.ohioveteranshome.gov.

Structure & Governing board

The Ohio Veterans Home is a division of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services which was created August 21, 2008 by the 127th Ohio General Assembly. The Department of Veterans Services is responsible for overseeing the long term care and services provided to military veterans living in Ohio.
