State of Iowa Eligibility Requirements
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMEBERS:
Honorably discharged Veterans eligible for hospitalization in VA hospitals or domiciliaries who do not have sufficient means or ability to support themselves, or who are disabled by disease, wounds, old age, or otherwise, and who are residents of the State of Iowa at time of application.
Dependent spouses and widowed spouses are also eligible.
Application Process
In each county there is a County Commissioner of Veterans Affairs who must certify residency requirements. Applicant must enclose two copies of honorable discharge or DD214, income affidavit, and have physical examination completed on application form by his/her physician.

Nine person Commission of Veterans Affairs appointed by the Governor.
Services Provided
Two levels of professional care for geriatric, chronically ill and handicapped veterans and other services.
