State of Georgia Eligibility Requirements
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMEBERS:
Must be domiciled in Georgia and have actually resided in Georgia for at least two consecutive years or five years out of the last 15 years immediately preceding the date of admission application.
Must be a “war veteran”. The term war veteran means any veteran who was discharged under other than dishonorable conditions and who served on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States or on active duty in a Reserve Component of the Armed Forces of the United States during wartime or during the period beginning December 7, 1941 and ended on May 7, 1975 and August 2, 1990 to present. Other eligible times have been designated (see Field Letter 19)
Must be approved as “eligible for care and treatment” by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Structure & Governing Board
The GWVH is Georgia Department of Veterans Service facility that is operated by Pruitthealth Veterans Service of Georgia, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pruitthealth Corporation in Toccoa, Georgia. The GWVH is licensed by the Georgia Office of Regulatory Services and certified annually by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Services Provided
Provide comprehensive around the clock skilled nursing care. Other services include nursing, dietary, social services, and occupational, physical, respiratory and speech therapies.
